Louis is a modern XML based Braille translator for the MacOS. Louis supports forward and back translation in a wide range of Braille codes and advanced features such as MathML to Nemeth code and advanced layout control. Complete documentation can be found in the program.
The installer also installs a number of utilities including a widget for making signs, and a tool to send braille files to embossers.
Louis is based on the liblouis libraries from John Boyer and is a free, open-souce program. Louis also includes a free,public domain Braille screen display font as well.
