E-Lab 6.1.5 - Verifying Static Route Configuration
In this lab, the student will use some show commands to verify the default static route configuration from the previous lab.
Step 1
Enter into privileged EXEC mode.
Step 2
View the current running configuration file.
Use a variation of the show command.
Step 3
Now examine the current routing table with a variation of the show command.
Note that the static routes are shown as directly connected even though they are routes to networks that are not actually directly connected.
This is because these routes were configured using an interface as a gateway instead of the next-hop router address.
