E-Lab 6.1.3 - Configuring Static Routes In this lab examine how to configure static routes. The routes in this lab allow the routers on the topology to communicate with each other. Step 1 Enter into privileged EXEC mode. Step 2 Now enter into global configuration mode. Step 3 You are on the router Santo Domingo, create a route to send all traffic heading to the network 172.16.1.0/24 to the next hop address at 172.16.2.1. Step 4 Now create a route to send all traffic heading to the network 172.16.5.0/24 to the next hop address at 172.16.4.2. Now the router Santo Domingo can send traffic to the networks 172.16.1.0 and 172.16.5.0. Step 5 Exit into privileged EXEC mode. Step 6 Save the current configuration to memory. Use the copy running-config startup-config or write memory commands.
