E-Lab 9.3.3 - Cisco Discovery Protocol
Use CDP to obtain information about neighboring Cisco devices.
CDP can be used as a troubleshooting tool.
Cisco devices use CDP to retrieve information including the capability, version, basic configuration, and ip address of neighboring Cisco devices which are also running the CDP protocol.
Step 1
Login to the router in privileged EXEC mode.
Step 2
Display CDP neighbor statistics for the current router.
Step 3
Use CDP to display version information and statistics about the directly connected neighbors of the Amsterdam router.
