Curtin celebrates the establishment of the Cisco Networking Academy for the Vision Impaired and the collaboration with industry partners in providing this innovative education and employment project. Curtin will hand over the Cisco Academy to the WA Association for the Blind. The Association will run the Academy, while Curtin will continue to be involved in research and development, with Cisco Systems Inc. providing ongoing sponsorship.
This event was an acknowledgement of the collaboration between Curtin, Cisco Systems Inc, the Association for the Blind and the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations as well as the internal collaboration between the School of Information Systems and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
